About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Communication Papers is a scientific research journal, initiative from the 'POMAC research group' of the University of Girona which is integrated in the 'Latin Platform of Communication Journals' (PlatCom). Our objective is to collect articles from the scope of journalism, audiovisual communication and advertising, with particular emphasis on issues that deepen in the treatment of gender and media literacy. 

Articles, reviews of books or articles and essays are welcome. 

The texts will be published in accordance with pre-print system exceed the review process, corrections and be typeset, until the close of the number on the dates indicated. The texts always preferably published in Spanish. Authors can also be sent versions in the following languages: English, Portuguese, French , Italian , Galician, Catalan and Euskere. In any case always give a summary in Spanish and English abstract. 

Communication Papers is intended for academics, consolidated or emerging researchers, who want to disseminate the results of their research through scientific publication. Communications Paper provides free and immediate online access to the contents of the Journal, fostering the exchange and dissemination of scientific knowledge and experience. 

Communication Papers aims to provide a service to the international scientific community enhancing swap space to share, promote and disseminate the academic scientific production from research applied to social communication and more specifically to gender studies and media literacy. 

The journal Communication Papers does not have either article submission charges or article processing charges (APCs). 

Contents are peer reviewed, in accordance with the publication standards established in the APA (American Psychological Association) manual. Compliance with these requirements facilitates indexing in the main databases of international journals in this field, ensuring the dissemination of published papers and therefore improves the profile of the authors and their centres.
